Refund Policy
Refunds on Circl are per-event. Each host picks how far in advance their tickets are refundable, and the policy shows up clearly on the event page before you book. Once you book, you can cancel from your Dashboard while you're still inside that window.
1. How a refund happens
- Go to your Dashboard → Upcoming.
- On any ticket inside its refund window, you'll see a “Cancel ticket” option.
- Confirm. Your spot is released immediately so someone else can grab it.
- The refund is initiated automatically through Razorpay and lands back on your original payment method in 5–7 business days.
2. Possible refund windows
- Until doors: refundable any time before the event starts.
- 24 / 48 / 72 hours before: the most common options.
- 7 days before: for events that need committed numbers (supper clubs, retreats).
- Non-refundable: clearly labelled. Tickets are final sale.
Look for the refund chip on every event page before booking. Gold means refundable, red means non-refundable.
3. If the host cancels
If a host cancels an event you booked, you get a full refund automatically, regardless of any refund window. You'll see a notification in your inbox and an email confirmation.
4. If something goes wrong on Razorpay's side
Razorpay refunds are usually instant on the back-end and 5–7 business days on your bank statement. If your refund is showing “Refund pending” on your booking after 10 business days, email circlapp.in@gmail.com with your booking reference (the CIR-… code) and we'll track it down within 48 hours.
5. Platform fee
Circl charges hosts a platform fee on each ticket sold (disclosed to hosts in the create-event flow). The fee is absorbed on the host side. For attendees, the ticket price you see is what you pay. There's no separate booking fee. When you receive a refund, you get back 100% of what you paid.
6. Disputes
If something didn't go as advertised at the event (host didn't show up, venue was misrepresented, etc.), email us with your booking reference and a description within 7 days of the event. We review on a case-by-case basis and may issue a goodwill refund even outside the host's normal refund window.
7. Force majeure
Government-mandated closures, natural disasters, or other force majeure events: hosts may choose to cancel and refund fully or reschedule. We work with hosts to make sure attendees aren't left out of pocket.
8. Questions
Email circlapp.in@gmail.com. We read every message.
