Terms of Service
Welcome to Circl. By creating an account or booking an event, you agree to these Terms. If you don't, please don't use the platform. These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and Circl Technologies Pvt Ltd(“Circl”).
1. Who can use Circl
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract under Indian law to create a Circl account. You agree to give accurate information and keep it current. One person, one account.
1A. Bookings for minors
Some events on Circl welcome attendees under 18 (junior dance classes, family workshops, parent-and-child sessions, etc). In those cases:
- The booking must be made by a parent or legal guardian from their own Circl account.
- The booking is treated as the parent's booking. By completing it, the parent confirms they consent to the minor's participation and accept these Terms on their behalf.
- The host is responsible for verifying the minor's identity and any age-appropriate consent at the venue. Hosts may refuse entry if the named guardian isn't present.
- Circl is not a babysitter. A minor cannot attend a Circl event unaccompanied unless the host's event listing explicitly permits it.
2. What Circl is, and isn't
Circl is a marketplaceconnecting attendees with hosts who run events. Hosts are independent organisers, not Circl employees. The actual event experience (venue, content, safety, delivery) is the host's responsibility. Circl handles discovery, bookings, payments, and the community layer.
3. Attendee responsibilities
- Show up to events you book, or cancel within the refund window.
- Don't harass, abuse, or impersonate anyone in chat or in person.
- Don't resell tickets. They're non-transferable.
- Follow host rules on capacity, dress, behaviour at the venue.
- Don't use Circl for any illegal purpose.
4. Host responsibilities
- Run the event you advertised, at the time and place advertised.
- Honour ticket refunds per the refund window you set on the event.
- Complete Aadhaar verification before publishing events.
- Keep the venue safe and legal. Don't mislead attendees.
- Don't use the chat to spam, solicit outside Circl, or post hate.
- Pay applicable GST and income tax on your earnings. Circl is not your employer.
5. Payments & platform fee
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Circl charges hosts a percentage-based platform feeon each ticket sold. The current fee percentage is disclosed to hosts before they publish an event (visible in the earnings breakdown on the create- event flow and in the Host Dashboard). The fee is absorbed on the host's side and deducted before payouts; the remainder is the host's net earnings.
We may revise the platform fee from time to time. Any change will be notified to active hosts in advance and will only apply to events created after the change takes effect.
Attendees pay the listed ticket price.Circl does not add a separate booking fee, service charge, or convenience fee on top of the price you see on an event page. The price displayed is the price you pay (taxes, if any, are included by the host in the listed price). When you receive a refund per the host's refund policy, you receive 100% of what you paid.
Hosts are responsible for declaring their earnings and paying any applicable taxes (GST, income tax) on their share. Circl is not the host's employer.
6. Refunds & cancellations
Each event has a refund window set by the host (visible on the event page before you book). Within that window, you can cancel from your Dashboard and receive a full refund of the amount you paid. Outside that window, tickets are non-refundable.
If a host cancels an event, every attendee gets a full refund. No cutoff applies in that case.
See our Refund Policy for the full breakdown.
7. Your content
When you post a chat message, review, or upload an event banner / media, you grant Circl a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, and distribute that content as part of the platform. You keep ownership. You confirm you have the right to share what you post.
We may remove content that breaks these Terms, is illegal, or is reported for harassment / hate / spam. We'll tell you why unless there's a legal reason not to.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. For example: fraudulent payments, repeated harassment, fake events, ticket resale, impersonation. Hosts whose events have unresolved complaints may be paused while we investigate. You can close your account anytime; some data is retained per the Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
Circl provides the platform “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Circl is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from attending an event organised through Circl, beyond a refund of the amount you paid for the affected ticket. Hosts agree to indemnify Circl for claims arising from their events.
10. Disputes & governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be emailed to registered users and announced in-app. If you continue using Circl after a change, you accept the new Terms.
